Vision for the National Catholic Youth Conference
In a distinctly Catholic setting the National Catholic Youth Conference invites participants to:
- Encounter Christ.
- Experience church.
- Be empowered for discipleship.
A Description of NCYC
The National Catholic Youth Conference is a powerful, three-day experience of prayer, community, evangelization, catechesis, service, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers (of high school age) and their adult chaperones.
The 2023 National Catholic Youth Conference is November 16-18, 2023, in Indianapolis, Indiana with the theme Fully Alive.
This year’s theme is inspired by the story of creation in Genesis and the reminder that God created mankind in His image (Genesis 1:23-27). NCYC 2023 is an invitation to remember that we are each created in the image of God.
What Happens During NCYC?
The program includes keynote presentations, prayer, workshops, Mass, and opportunities to participate in reconciliation and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, as well as recreational activities, concerts, and exhibits. A key component of NCYC is the thematic environment which is a blend of traditional exhibit booths with interactive areas featuring service projects, games, recreation, live musical performances, arts, and sports.
