Mission Co-Op Plan: God Has Created Me… I Have a Mission.
Bishop John Noonan, in collaboration with the global Church and the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops (USCCB), supports our global brothers and sisters throughout the world. Care for the “least of our brothers and sisters” (Matt: 25:35-40), solidarity that reaches out and touches the lives of those less fortunate and tangible financial support (direct and indirect) for the work of missionaries throughout the world is provided by the generosity (time, talent and treasury) of the people of the Diocese of Orlando.
The Missionary Cooperative Program of the Pontifical Mission Society gives us the opportunity to truly be part of the Universal Catholic Church. It also presents us with the wonderful occasion to actually meet and get to know priests, deacons, religious sisters and brothers, as well as lay people who have committed their lives to journey with God’s people in their reality and circumstance.
Approximately 200 global and domestic missionaries seek to participate in our Mission Co-Program annually. They do so to help support their ministry and to offset the poverty of the people they serve. The need is tremendous and overwhelming.
Regrettably, we are only able to accommodate thirty-two (32) missionaries from throughout the world to share their stories in our diocesan parishes. They bless us with the opportunity to partner with them to “Love God, Serve People and Transform the World.” Each missionary will bring both troubling and heartwarming stories that will help us see and identify with the human face of hunger, struggle, poverty, injustice, abuse, lack of education and move us to a place of hope, food, support, education, healthcare, dignity and the grace of God that is present within all. Transformative stories bring a better tomorrow when we dare to engage today!
Missionaries who are not able to participate in the Mission Co-Op Program are supported by the Universal Catholic Church through our global World Mission Sunday collection.

The Mission Co-Op Program works a year in advance.
Application period for 2024 was closed on May 31, 2023.
We are currently reviewing the applications for this period. Starting October 1st, 2023 we will accept applications for 2025 until May 31, 2024.
