Embracing the Divine Gift of Freedom
Religious Freedom Week takes place from June 22 to 29. The Week begins with the Feast of Sts. John Fisher and Thomas More, includes the Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, and ends with the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul.
Religious freedom allows the Church, and all religious communities, to live out their faith in public and to serve the good of all. The USCCB invites Catholics to pray, reflect, and act to promote religious freedom.
Pray – Reflect – Act
June 22 – Respect for Sacred Spaces
Pray that Christian witnesses in the face of attacks on our churches will convert hearts to faith in Jesus Christ, and that people of all faiths would be free to gather in sacred spaces without fear.
June 23 – Seal of Confession
Pray the governments would respect the seal of confession, as the Church in the United States continues to work to remove the scourge of clergy abuse.
June 24 – Nicaragua
Pray for our Catholic sisters and brothers who are suffering in Nicaragua.
June 25 – Religious Student Groups
Pray that religious student groups would be free to be faithful to their distinctive missions.
June 26 – Religious Freedom in Nigeria
Pray that herders and farmers in Nigeria, whose conflict over access to land and resources have fueled religious tensions, may find the means to compromise and work out their differences in a non-violent manner.
June 27 – Faith at Work
Pray that business leaders would promote a culture that welcomes faith at work.
June 28 – Service to Immigrants and Refugees
Pray that the Lord would protect all migrants and refugees, and that all those who work with people on the move would be free to serve.
June 29 – Catholic Healthcare
Pray that governments will respect the consciences of all individuals and institutions that care for the sick and vulnerable.

Únanse a nosotros, del 22 al 29 de junio, para orar, reflexionar y tomar medidas para promover la libertad religiosa, tanto aquí en este país como en el extranjero.
22 de junio – Respecto por los espacios sagrados
Reza para que el testimonio cristiano ante los ataques a nuestras iglesias convierta los corazones a la fe en Jesucristo, y que las personas de todas las religiones sean libres de reunirse en lugares sagrados sin temor.
23 de junio – Secreto de confesión
Reza para que los gobiernos respeten el secreto del confesionario, mientras la Iglesia en los Estados Unidos continúa trabajando para eliminar el flagelo de los abusos por parte del clero.
24 de junio – Nicaragua
Recen por nuestros hermanos y hermanas católicos que sufren en Nicaragua.
25 de junio – Estudiantes en el campus
Reza para que los grupos de estudiantes religiosos sean libres de ser fieles a sus misiones distintivas.
26 de junio – Cristianos en Nigeria
Reza para que los pastores y agricultores de Nigeria, cuyo conflicto por el acceso a la tierra y los recursos ha alimentado las tensiones religiosas, puedan encontrar los medios para comprometerse y resolver sus diferencias de manera no violenta.
27 de junio – Fe en los negocios
Reza para que los encargados empresariales promuevan una cultura que dé la bienvenida a la fe en el trabajo.
28 de junio – Inmigrantes
Reza para que el Señor proteja a todos los migrantes y refugiados, y que todos los que trabajan con personas en movimiento sean libres para servir.
29 de junio – Atención médica católica
Rece para que los gobiernos respeten la conciencia de todas las personas e instituciones que cuidan de los enfermos y los indefensos.
